hello & welcome.
I’m Jo & I’m a humanistic psychotherapist who offers short-term and longer-term therapy for individuals and groups in Brighton (BN1) and Hove (BN3).
I’m an accredited member of The National Counselling society, which is part of the professional standards register, and my details are verified on Psychology Today. My initial training was with the University of Nottingham, where I obtained a BA(Hons) in Humanistic counselling practice and I’ve since completed my group therapy training with The Link Centre, a UKATA registered training centre.
In addition to my private practice, I have held honorary psychotherapy positions in a higher education institution and working with families and carers of substance users. More recently, I’m an honorary psychotherapist within the NHS.
My clinical experience has included working with anxiety, depression, post-natal depression (PND) and trauma. Speaking with a psychotherapist in a confidential space can help you navigate through any feelings of concern and begin to understand your mental wellbeing, relationships, behaviour patterns, beliefs or somatic responses on a much deeper level. Our therapeutic relationship facilitates authentic ways of relating to others and connecting with all aspects of yourself.
All individual sessions are 50 minutes and £50.
If you’ve any questions, then please contact me to arrange a free, preliminary consultation on the phone.
I look forward to hearing from you
My profile can also be found on Brighton and Hove Therapy Hub.
